Vejer de la Frontera
This place is jaw dropping, the eyes blink, the eloquent adjectives dry up. Placed atop a rocky hill above the busy N340, 50km south of Cádiz, this environment, compact white town is very unique. Here you can see a labyrinth of twisting ancient-town streets and some other serendipitous viewpoints, a ruined castle, a surprisingly elaborate culinary scene, and a tangible Moorish influence. But Vejer is known for other things – an air of magic and mystery, an imperceptible feel of duende (spirit).
